Welcome to Ebi Otaku

Ebi Otaku starts with a simple observation: there is no single, polyglot, well-organized reference for ornamental shrimp keepers in the world. Information is fragmented across forums, breeder blogs, and language silos — and a beginner choosing between a Cherry shrimp and a Caridina dennerli often has to piece together knowledge from a dozen places.

This project is the founder's attempt to fix that.

What's live today

• A growing species database with taxonomy facets across category, genus, origin, lineage, color, and water type.
• Bilingual UI (English / Japanese) powered by a real translation pipeline rather than machine translation tossed into the page.
• Open access — no login, no paywall, no ads.

What's next

Care guides, breeder spotlights, market reports, and structured data exports for researchers. The species database will grow with photos, hatching calendars, and water-chemistry profiles per lineage.
